Coach Tim Fragle has 19 years of coaching experience at various levels of hockey and is entering his 2nd season with the NAIT men’s hockey program. In his first season with the Ooks the team finished 1st in the ACAC regular season standings, captured a silver medal as the league finalists and Tim took ACAC coach of the year honors. Prior to joining NAIT Tim served 7 seasons as the General Manager & Head Coach of the Sherwood Park Crusaders Junior A Hockey Team of the Albert Junior Hockey League. Coach Fragle has been involved with Hockey Canada for the past 3 seasons at the World Junior A level as well as in a coach mentorship role for the HP 1 certification program. Tim was the Team Canada West Head Coach in 2015, which participates in the World Junior A Challenge and Coach Fragle helped lead Team Canada to a Gold Medal win by defeating Team Russia 2 to 1 in the gold medal final. Coach Fragle has extensive experience in the area of player development as he served as the Associate Director at Vimy Ridge Academy Hockey Program from 2004 to 2016 where he worked with Junior High & High School students.

Fragle is a NAIT alumni, as he graduated with a Business Management diploma and during time at NAIT he played with the Men’s Hockey team and he had the honor of being named team captain for 2 seasons. Also during his time at NAIT he was heavily involved with NAIT hockey school in many different capacities. Coach Fragle has completed his High Performance 1 Coaching Certification along with Checking Skills Certification, Development 1 Certification, Development 2 Certification, Respect in Sport Certification and Safety & Speak out Certifications.
