The South Lobby Ping Pong tables are on the move.
Popular with students and visitors, the ping pong and foosball tables will be removed from South Lobby on Thursday, June 4.
How to Find the New Ping Pong Spots
Ping pong fans: Don’t worry. The tables will be ready for play elsewhere on Main Campus starting a little later the same day.
NAIT has developed a Virtual Ping Pong and Foosball Map to help guide players to the tables. Posters will also appear in South Lobby directing players to where to find the tables.
While these tables draw matches throughout the day, upcoming renovations mean they can’t stay in their current space moving to:
- U Building outside of Fresh Express,
- Locations around CAT Main Street,
- Outside the Fitness Weight Centre.
Other tables at CAT The Square, Bytes and the Spartan Centre will remain in their existing locations.
Transforming South Lobby
Work to transform South Lobby into a centralized student services hub begins this summer. Construction will start behind the walls before the area is closed off in the fall.
Once complete in 2028, South Lobby will bring together student counselling, the Centre for Community Belonging and other services. The refreshed space will also feature a more comfortable open lobby for events and a new meeting room connecting South Lobby and the E Building corridor.
