This weekend, the NAIT Ooks men's hockey team was the lone Ooks squad in competition to start the new year. In case you missed it, here is a quick recap of the games. 

Hockey: 

On Friday, the Ooks men's hockey team opened the new semester in strong fashion, defeating the Concordia Thunder 5–3. Three of the Ooks' goals came on the power play, helping them build control through the first two periods. Concordia mounted a comeback in the third, scoring three times, but Josh Medernach sealed the win with the Ooks' final goal to maintain the lead. Riding the momentum from the night before, the Ooks looked to run it back. In a hard-fought matchup, they closed out the weekend with a thrilling 5–4 win over Concordia Saturday night to compete the weekend sweep.
