Men's:
On Friday night, the Ooks faced an uphill battle, ultimately falling 93–76. Despite the result, several players stepped up offensively. Nathan Saldo led the charge with 13 points, while Owen Weaver and Antonio Benjamin each added 12 in an effort to keep the game within reach. Looking to bounce back on Saturday, the Ooks came out determined to shift the momentum. However, the Rustlers once again came out on top, securing a 79–64 victory. Owen Weaver paced the team with 16 points, and Aaron Snaterse followed closely behind with 14, as the Ooks continued to compete hard until the final buzzer. While the weekend didn't go their way, the team showed resilience and individual efforts that will serve as building blocks moving forward.
Women's:
On Friday night, the Ooks came out firing, securing an emphatic 85–28 victory. With a margin of more than 50 points, the team set the tone early and never looked back. Payton Neilson led the charge with an impressive 22 points, playing a key role in closing out the opening game in commanding fashion. Back on home court Saturday, the Ooks fed off the energy of a lively crowd and raised the bar even higher. In a record-breaking performance, the women stormed to a 115–42 win to complete the weekend sweep. Neilson once again put on a show with 29 points, while Mikah Reed added 20 in a strong supporting effort. The Ooks' explosive offense and relentless pace made for a statement weekend performance on their home floor.
Volleyball
Men's:
Following in the footsteps of their basketball counterparts, the Ooks men's volleyball team opened their weekend at home against the Lakeland Rustlers with a composed and confident performance. Staying cool under pressure, the Ooks secured a 3–1 victory behind a balanced effort on both sides of the ball. Daylan Andison anchored the back row with 14 digs, earning Player of the Game honours for his steady defensive presence and leadership. For their final road trip of the season, the Ooks travelled to Lloydminster determined to finish strong — and did just that. In the rematch, they delivered a decisive sweep over the Rustlers to close out the weekend. Powering the offence, Josh Watson recorded over 15 kills, helping seal the win and cap off an impressive two-game stretch for the Ooks.
Women's:
Facing the defending champion Lakeland Rustlers, the Ooks women's volleyball team knew they had a tough challenge ahead. Despite competing hard throughout the match, the Ooks fell in three straight sets on Friday night. Rachel Mallett and Tanisha McQueen each recorded five kills, providing key offensive contributions in a hard-fought effort. Hoping to respond in Saturday's rematch on the road, the Ooks once again battled the Rustlers but came up short in another three-set decision. While the results didn't swing their way this weekend, the team remains focused and motivated as they prepare for their next matchup. The Ooks will look to bounce back next weekend when they take on the Concordia Thunder, aiming to turn the page and get back in the win column.
Hockey
Men's:
Heading into the weekend against the SAIT Trojans, the Ooks men's hockey team knew every point mattered as they battled for playoff positioning. On Friday night, they rose to the occasion, grinding out a thrilling 4–3 overtime victory in a hard-fought contest. Carrying that momentum into Saturday, the Ooks delivered an even more decisive performance, skating to a 4–1 win to complete the weekend sweep. With back-to-back victories, the team improves to an even 11–11 record, building confidence at the right time as the playoff push intensifies.
