Camrose, Alta. - In the opening game of the ACAC Women's Volleyball Championship, the NAIT Ooks led by Benj Heinrichs were matched up against the nationally ranked RDC Queens. 

The Ooks came out of the gate strong taking a commanding 20-13 lead in the first set. The RDC Queens would in the end battle back to take the set 25-23, and the next two sets (25-19, 25-18) to complete the sweep of the young NAIT squad. 

The Ooks were led by Hannah Gorgichuk who posted 9 kills and 12 points. The Queens' Miranda Dawe and Naomi Jardine both responded with 12 points each of their own. 

NAIT will now face the Ambrose Lions Friday at 1:00 pm. While the Queens will move to the semi-finals to face the powerhouse Lakeland Rustlers.
